Received a diploma for 369 hours of theory and "hands on" experience in Seamanship, Rules of the Road, Marlinspike, Weather, First Aid, Boat Handling, Piloting and Dead Reckoning Navigation, Electronic and Celestial Navigation, and Boat and Engine Maintenance.

1984 - Graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, with a BA degree in Business Administration and a minor in Computer Science.
